New North Fayette Valley Superintendent Announced
Three strong superintendent finalists interviewed in the district on Monday, March 2nd. The formal interviews included a tour, two mixed interview teams, and a presentation and interview with the school board. All the stakeholders who interviewed the finalists provided the school board feedback about each candidate. After the board considered the feedback, they moved forward with an offer to Mr. Joe Griffith.
Joe was excited to accept the position saying, “I am honored to be joining North Fayette Valley School District and look forward to getting to know the community”.
Joe is married to his wife Chasity. Together they have four children, Katelynn, Lauren, Regan and Ryan. Their family enjoys canoeing, hiking, and participating in sporting events.
Joe graduated high school from Central Elkader High School. His Bachelor’s Degree is in elementary behavior disorders from the University of Dubuque. He earned his Master’s Degree in educational leadership from Drake University in 2000 and superintendent licensure from the University of Northern Iowa.
Mr. Griffith will be transitioning with current NFV Superintendent Duane Willhite between now and officially beginning his duties on July 1, 2020. Grundmeyer Leader Services assisted the school board throughout the hiring process. Please welcome Joe and his family to the district and communities.
