The state and federal government reimburses schools for full meals provided to students through the free/reduced meal program.  The posters below illustrate what a reimbursable meal looks like for breakfast and lunch.  Schools are not reimbursed for single items or extra main portions, therefore, the students who have free/reduced price meal eligibility are charged for these items.  To fill out a Free/Reduced priced meal application, login to your Infinite Campus Parent Portal.  Click the 3 horizontal lines in the upper left corner, then "More" at the bottom of the list, and "Meal Benefits" to the right.  If you have questions about the free/reduced meal program or would like to submit a physical free/reduced meal application, reach out to Mark Hawes at mhawes@nfv.k12.ia.us or 563-422-3851 Ext. 1129.
