Minutes, Special Meeting of the North Fayette Valley Community School District Board of Education, 6:00 p.m., Monday, February 17, 2020 in the High School Library, 600 North Pine Street, West Union, IA 52175

 

NFV Board of Education:   Julie Ahrens, Stacy Cummings, Emily Koch, LaCreasha McNeese, Carolyn Roys, Eileen Schlawin & Marc Rue.

Others:   Business Manager: Sue Thoms, VE & MS Principal: Micah Gearhart, Curriculum Director; Betsy Nefzger, WUE & FE Principal:  Travis Elliott, Grundmeyer Leader Services: Trent Grundmeyer & Roger Wilcox

 

President Cummings  called the Special Meeting of the NFV Board of Education to order at 6:00 p.m.

 

Board members present: Ahrens, Cummings, Koch, McNeese, Rue, Roys, and Schlawin.

 

Motion to approve the agenda as printed. Roys/ Rue. Motion carried 7-0.

 

Motion to go into closed session to evaluate the professional competency of Superintendent candidates per Iowa Code 21.5(i).  Schlawin/Rue.  Roll Call Vote: Ayes – Roys, Koch, McNeese, Ahlrens, Schlawin, Rue, Cummings, Nays – none.  Motion carried 7-0.  The Board went into closed session at 6:03 p.m.

 

The Board came out of closed session at 8:08 p.m.

 

Motion to adjourn at 8:08 p.m. Schlawin/Rue. Motion carried 7-0.
