Minutes, Special Meeting of the North Fayette Valley Community School District Board of Education, Wednesday, February 17, 2021, in the NFV Central Office, 600 N Pine St, West Union, IA  52175

 

NFV Board of Education: Julie Ahrens (Teams), Stacy Cummings (Teams), Eileen 

Schlawin, Emily Koch, & LaCreasha McNeese(Teams).  Carolyn Roys & Marc Rue were absent.  Student Members: Nathan Crooker.   Kailee Ginger,  Baylee Shrubb, & Madison Clausen were absent.

 

Others: Superintendent: Joe Griffith; Business Manager: Sue 

Thoms; and others by Microsoft Teams

 

President Cummings called the Special Meeting of the NFV Board of Education to order at 7:30 a.m. Julie Ahrens led the board and audience in the Pledge of Allegiance. 

 

Motion to approve the agenda.  Ahrens/Schlawin  Motion Carried 5-0 

 

The Board set a work session for March 3rd @ 4:30 pm to review proposed specifications and plans for HVAC renovations at West Union Elementary.  

 

The Board approved setting a public hearing on March 8th at the regular board meeting to approve proposed plans for HVAC renovations at West Union Elementary.  Schlawin/Koch    Motion Carried 5-0

 

The Board approved the contract for Lauren Falck as the HS Math teacher.  Schlawin/Ahrens  Motion Carried 5-0

 

The Board adjourned the meeting at 7:37 a.m.  Schlawin/Koch  Motion Carried 5-0
