Wednesday, April 21 we will be doing a clean-up day to celebrate Earth Day! Each advisory group will be traveling to a park to clean up and complete any other maintenance that needs to be done. We will not be having any classes on Wednesday, but we expect all students to participate! Please dress accordingly to be outside all morning. Students will return to the high school for lunch and advisory. School will be dismissed at the normal Wednesday 12:20 dismissal time.

I would like to thank everyone who participated in the Variety Show last Friday night. It was a great show that got to showcase a lot of the incredible talent we have here at NFV. I’d also like to thank everyone who came out to support the show. Have a great rest of the year! – Mr. Nuss

Sign-ups for a powderpuff game are now in the office! Sign-ups will close May 1.

The elementary will have a Field Day on Tuesday, May 25th. Are there any SENIORS that would want to help in the morning from 8:30 – 10:45. Please contact Jenny Lee (jlee@nfv.k12.ia.us) if you are interested.

SENIORS! If you have “Pay It Forward” Community Service sheets from grades 9-12, please turn those into the office by May 1st. You need to have at least 25 hours of service each year in order to wear the Service Learning Cord at Graduation.

Tryouts for the 2021-2022 NFV Drill Team will be held on Saturday, May 1st at 10:00am in the NFVHS Gym. If you are unable to attend, contact me to set up a different tryout date or a virtual option will be made available to you. Tryout routine practices will be on Tuesday, April 27th from 6-8pm in the NFVHS Cafeteria and Saturday, May 1st from 8-10am in the NFVHS North Gym. More information will be sent out by email on April 23rd for those that sign up.

West Union Summer Rec. is looking to hire someone to help out with the ball diamonds, concession stand, and many other tasks. The pay will be $10 per hour. If interested, speak with Mr. Feldman for more details.

The West Union Community Garden is looking for volunteers this summer! The WU Garden is a space for engaging community, empowering healthy behaviors, and growing closer to our food. Produce is shared with the Open Hands Food Pantry and anyone looking for fresh food. You can help with planting, watering, weeding, and more!
