Minutes, Special Meeting of the North Fayette Valley Community School District Board of Education, 4:45 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2020 in the Library of, NFV High School, 600 North Pine Street, West Union, IA 52175

President Cummings called the Special Meeting of the NFV Board of Education to order at 4:45 p.m.

 

Board members present: Ahrens, Cummings, Koch, McNeese, Roys, Rue & Schlawin .

 

Motion to approve the agenda as printed. Schlawin/Ahrens. Motion carried 7-0.

 

Motion to move to closed session to evaluate the professional competency of superintendent candidates per Iowa Code 21.5(i) of the open meetings law. Schlawin/Roys. Roll call: Ayes: Ahrens, Cummings, Koch, McNeese, Roys, Rue and Schlawin. Nays: none. Motion carried 7-0. The  Board moved to closed session at 4:46 p.m. and recovened in open session at 9:50 p.m.

 

Motion to make a contract offer to preferred candidate as discussed in closed session.

Roys/Ahrens. Roll call: Ayes: Cummings, Koch, McNeese, Roys, Rue, Schlawin and Ahrens. Nays: none. Motion carried 7-0.

 

Motion to adjourn. Rue/Roys. Motion carried 7-0.

 

The Board adjourned their Special Meeting at 9:57 p.m.
